How smarter storage and transport can help marching bands move equipment safely, efficiently, and with less disruption

Sponsored by Wenger Corporation

Wenger Corporation Before the first note of rehearsal, a marching band has already moved a lot of equipment. Tubas and sousaphones come out of storage. Timpani, bass drums, and other percussion need to make their way to the field. Uniforms, flags, instruments, and accessories may need to travel through hallways, doorways, loading areas, and trailers before rehearsal can even begin.

When that process works well, it's almost invisible. When it doesn't, valuable rehearsal time can quickly disappear. That's why storage and transport should be considered part of the overall marching band workflow.

Tuba & Sousaphone Mobile Storage Rack
Large brass instruments can take up significant space and require careful handling. Wenger's Tuba and Sousaphone Mobile Storage Rack combines storage with mobility, allowing programs to securely store a variety of instrument sizes while still being able to move the entire rack when needed. Adjustable features accommodate different instruments, while heavy-duty locking casters provide stability in storage and mobility when it's time to move.

OnBoard® Cargo Cart
Marching bands rarely move just one type of equipment. Instruments, uniforms, flags, accessories, and other supplies often need to travel together. The Onboard Cargo Cart is designed to help consolidate these moves. Configurations can include shelves, garment bars, or a combination of both, giving programs flexibility based on what they need to transport. The cart is also designed to move through standard doorways and fit into standard trailers.

OnBoard® Timpani Cart
Timpani present a different challenge. They are large, valuable instruments that need to move carefully from storage to rehearsal and performance spaces. The OnBoard Timpani Cart is designed to transport individual timpani or complete sets and can convert into a performance position with a single turn. It accommodates all five sizes of pedal-style timpani, while stabilizer bars provide additional support on uneven surfaces.

OnBoard® Bass Drum/Gong Cart
Bass drums and gongs can be some of the most awkward instruments to move. The OnBoard Bass Drum / Gong Cart helps make that process more manageable, allowing one or two people to transport these large instruments between storage, rehearsal spaces, and the field. A good equipment workflow is about more than getting gear from one place to another. It's about protecting instruments, reducing unnecessary handling, and making every transition more efficient.

From the band room to the 50-yard line, the right storage and transport solutions can help programs spend less time moving equipment and more time preparing to perform.
