It was a great year for DCI! Although still emerging from effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, corps rose above to deliver innovative and excellent performances during DCI's milestone 50th Anniversary season. Colts and Troopers regained Top 12 status for the first time in more than a decade, and close competition landed Bluecoats and Boston Crusaders in a tie for second place at BOTH semifinals and finals. The Battalion and Calgary Stampede Showband impressed the crowd during their first appearance in championship prelims,
and Boston Crusaders earned the top color guard award with a team whose difficulty and excellence pushed the art form to seemingly impossible levels. All 35 units from the 2022
