After the DCI World Championship preliminary contest, it's not a question of which corps are likely to earn a medal at finals, but a question of which color medal the top three corps will receive.
Bluecoats, Blue Devils and Carolina Crown are separated by mere fractions of a point, but those top three corps distanced themselves from the next tier of units with a spread of more than two points.
It has been a stellar year for the Bluecoats, with the corps earning more wins and higher scores than any time in the group's history. The corps has taken body movement to a new level, dropping the customary uniform and helmet in favor of performance wear that allows the corps to make
effective use of its giant ramp props. All 38 drum and bugle corps from the 2016
