(July 13, 2013, Minneapolis, Minnesota) TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis again hosted the first major head-to-head contest of the Drum Corps International season, with enthusiastic fans enjoying a stellar lineup of 17 World, 3 Open and 2 All-Age units. Carolina Crown (86.00) rose to the top with 7 of 10 judges ranking the corps first, ahead of Blue Devils (85.55) and The Cadets (84.45). A battle appears to be brewing for positions 11 to 14, with slim margins separating the corps. Blue Stars (75.35) re-entered the Top 12 after missing championship finals by one spot last year, while Troopers (73.4) surged to 13th place and are well positioned to advance from last year's 18th place finish. The 2013 season is now at the mid-point, with corps continuing to perfect their programs ahead of the
DCI World Championships in Indiana August 5-10. All 22 corps are pictured here in reverse order of appearance.
