A total of 103 marching bands from 19 states participated in the 2013 Bands of America Grand National Championships. After two days of prelims, 36 competing bands advanced to the semi-finals contest. Twelve bands advanced to finals where The Woodlands H.S. (Texas) claimed the championship title. Innovative drill designs, creative concepts and high levels of musical performance were noted among the advancing bands.
