After spending some time resting on the buses, Dobyns-Bennett band members are having breakfast at Planet Hollywood in Times Square.

Some band members are chatting and enjoying the atmosphere of Planet Hollywood, while other students are catching up on sleep.

A significant crowd has already gathered in Times Square. People are standing 5-10 deep in some of the prime viewing areas.

With breakfast complete but the sky still dark, Dobyns-Bennett has reloaded the buses for the drive to the lineup area.

Now daylight and with the temperature rising, Dobyns-Bennett unloads near Central Park West. During the ride, band booster Claire McKissick made calls to arrange
for some instrument repair and upon arrival a band parent was ready with the needed parts.

Team spirit is high as all the bands converge on the lineup area. Dobyns-Bennett students exchange high-fives with members from Macy's Great American Marching Band.

The Homestead H.S. (Cupertino, California) color guard took advantage of a photo op in the parade staging area along Central Park West.
