NEW YORK (Nov. 2, 2023) As the nation gathers to celebrate and give thanks with family and friends, the
97th Annual
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to the streets of New York City
on Thursday, November 23 at 8:30 AM. This year's annual Thanksgiving Day celebration will feature a performance by music legend Cher, and
the parade will begin 30 minutes earlier than usual in New York and on the official national broadcast.
A special highlight for marching band fans will be The Band Directors Marching Band comprising more than 400 music educators from across the USA.
"Our talented team of Macy's Studios artisans and production specialists work year-round to deliver the nation's most beloved holiday event,
live on Thanksgiving morning," said Executive Producer Will Coss. "We are proud to hold this responsibility and look forward to sharing our
unbelievable designs, larger-than-life character balloons and first-class entertainment, all sure to create lifelong memories for parade fans nationwide."
The parade lineup for 2023 features 18 giant balloons, 12 marching bands, 26 floats, 700 clowns, 32 novelty balloons plus a host of celebrity performers.
Macy's Parade Route Map

The 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 77th Street and Central Park West at 8:30 AM. The procession will travel down to
Columbus Circle, turn onto Central Park South and march down 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. At 34th Street,
the parade will make its final turn west and end at 7th Avenue in front of Macy's Herald Square.
NBC Telecast 8:30 AM to 12 PM in All Time Zones, Also Streaming on Peacock
Americans coast-to-coast can share in the magic of the parade through NBC-TV's national telecast hosted by the TODAY Show's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker.
The telecast will air from 8:30 AM to 12 Noon in all time zones. Fans can also stream the broadcast on Peacock. The Spanish language simulcast on Telemundo will be
hosted by the network's daytime personalities, Carlos Adyan and Andrea Meza.
Ahead of the parade, the national broadcast will showcase Broadway's "& Juliet," "Back to the Future: The Musical," "How To Dance In Ohio," "Shucked," "Spamalot,"
and the Radio City Rockettes. Stars of Broadway's "Gutenberg! The Musical!," Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells, will appear as special correspondents along the parade route.
