NEW YORK (Nov. 22, 2022) — As the nation gathers to celebrate and give thanks with family and friends, the 96th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to the streets of New York City on Thursday, November 24 at 9:00 AM.

"Since its first march in 1924 and through the decades, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has served to bring joy to the millions who gather nationwide each year to experience it with friends and family," said Executive Producer Will Coss. "We are thrilled to showcase another spectacle full of magic and wonder that will help create everlasting memories with loved ones during this special time of year."

The parade lineup for 2022 features 16 giant character balloons, 12 marching bands, 28 floats, 700 clowns, 40 novelty balloons plus a host of celebrity performers.

Macy's Parade Route Map

The 96th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 77th Street and Central Park West. The procession will travel down to Columbus Circle, turn onto Central Park South and march down 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. At 34th Street, the Parade will make its final turn west and end at 7th Avenue in front of Macy's Herald Square.

NBC Telecast 9 AM to 12 PM in All Time Zones, Also Streaming on Peacock

Americans coast-to-coast can share in the magic of the parade through NBC-TV's national telecast hosted by the TODAY Show's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker. The telecast will air from 9 AM to 12 Noon in all time zones. Fans can also stream the broadcast on Peacock.

Ahead of the parade, the national broadcast will showcase Broadway's Funny Girl, A Beautiful Noise, Some Like It Hot, Disney's The Lion King, and the Radio City Rockettes. The stars of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock on Apple TV+ will appear throughout the broadcast as Uncle "Travelling" Matt goes on an epic journey to learn the meaning of the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day" holiday and the impossible-to-answer question: "What is a parade?"
