133rd Rose Parade returns to the street as in-person event
PASADENA, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2021) The 2022
Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade returns as a live, in-person event on the streets of Pasadena with a fantastic lineup of colorful floats, top-notch marching bands and majestic equestrian units beginning at 8:00 AM (Pacific) on Saturday, January 1.
This year's lineup features 19 marching bands, with several bands drawing membership from across the nation, including the Bands of America Honor Band and the Band Directors Marching Band.
International bands originally invited to the parade will not appear this year, and will instead be invited to participate in the future.
The theme "Dream. Believe. Achieve." was chosen by Tournament of Roses President Bob Miller, whose term was extended a year after last year's events were canceled. Miller chose actor, director and educator
LeVar Burton as the 2022 Grand Marshal.
The Rose Parade will be broadcast on ABC, Hallmark Channel, KTLA, NBC, RFD-TV and Univision.
Curbside viewing is free of charge and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pasadena city ordinance allows curbside space along the parade route to be occupied
no earlier than noon on the day before the parade. Reserved grandstand seating is available through Sharp Seating Company at 626-795-4171. COVID-19 safety protocols are in place for ticketholders to the grandstand seating along the parade route.
