2021 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade NEW YORK (Nov. 20, 2021) — As the nation gathers to celebrate and give thanks with family and friends, the 95th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to the streets of New York City as an in-person event on Thursday, November 25 at 9:00 AM.

"For our 95th celebration, Macy's has created a spectacle to remember," said Executive Producer Will Coss. "We can't wait to help New York City and the nation kick off the holiday season with the return of this cherished tradition."

The parade lineup for 2021 features 15 giant character balloons; 10 marching bands; 28 floats; 800 clowns; 36 novelty balloons; plus a host of celebrity performers.

To safely produce the annual event, Macy's once again partnered closely with the City and State of New York to create a production plan that would ensure health and safety practices aligned with CDC guidelines, as well as current local and state government protocols. There is no vaccination requirement for general public for this outdoor event. Spectators are encouraged to enjoy the parade safely with appropriate precautions including wearing masks as well as suitable outerwear for the late November weather.
