DCI Tour Premiere returns to movie theaters June 17, 2015

Big screen event features six of last summer's top 12 corps performing LIVE

JUNE 1, 2015 — Fans of Drum Corps International will get an early-season look at the 2015 programs of top drum & bugle corps when Fathom Events and DCI present the fifth-annual "DCI Tour Premiere." A big difference this year: the season-opening performances will be LIVE rather than pre-recorded.

DCI 2015 Tour Premiere The one-night-only event will be shown live in more than 535 movie theaters across 47 states on Wednesday, June 17. Since the event is live, the start time will vary by time zone (8:30 PM Eastern, 7:30 PM Central, 6:30 PM Mountain and 5:30 PM Pacific).

Another change for 2015: this year's event will take place in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This means the 2015 DCI tour will begin and end in the same venue.

The six corps appearing on the big screen will be Blue Stars (La Crosse, WI), Bluecoats (Canton, OH), Carolina Crown (Ft. Mill, SC), Madison Scouts (Madison, WI), The Cadets (Allentown, PA) and The Cavaliers (Rosemont, IL).

A complete list of participating theaters and ticket information for the Tour Premiere is available on FathomEvents.com.

August Championship cinecast continues

Drum Corps International logo In addition to the early-season "Tour Premiere," DCI's popular "Big, Loud & Live" cinecast will return for its 12th season on Thursday, August 6 beginning at 6:30 PM (Eastern). Broadcast in high definition to movie theaters nationwide, this event will capture the action live from the 2015 World Championship Prelims at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Attendance has grown each year for the annual "Big, Loud & Live" program, with the 2014 drawing a record 49,168 viewers. The popular event has allowed fans who are unable to attend the World Championships to experience the thrills and drama of the world's best drum corps at the climax of the season, from the comfort of their local movie theater.

Additional details about this year's "Big, Loud & Live" event and a complete list of participating theaters will be released in the coming months at FathomEvents.com.
