The World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) is a distinguished international non-profit organization dedicated to helping bands from around the world
communicate and interact. Bands have the opportunity to compete in WAMSB-sanctioned regional events and the prestigious annual WAMSB World Championships. The event
locations illustrate the global scale of the organization — sanctions have been granted to host the Championship in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, Italy,
Japan, Mexico, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Bands are encouraged to bring their cultural forms and styles to their performances. WAMSB events utilize a one-world judging system which allows groups of all styles to excel and receive feedback from the international panel of judges. 
The 2024 WAMSB World Championships will be held in Rastede, Germany, home of the renowned annual Rasteder Musiktage.
The 2023 WAMSB World Championships were held in Buckhannon, West Virginia, USA, with a full roster of marching and concert competitions plus a week-long community festival. The 2019 WAMSB World Championships were held in Calgary, Canada. Marching units performed in the street parade competition, preliminary field show competition, drum battle and an exciting finals competition. Truly a worldwide spectacle, the 2022 event was held in Bangkok, Thailand, and the 2024 championships will be held in Rastede, Germany. WAMSB Sanctioned Events Schedule
