The Vienna Vikings host this exciting game against American collegiate teams at Höhe Warte Stadium. A pre-game pep rally, post game BBQ and half-time shows offer opportunities for bands to perform for thousands of spectators. Bands also march in a parade through the historical heart of Vienna.

Now in its 11th year, the Charity Bowl event annually attracts thousands of spectators. Its theme is "strong helping the weak" with proceeds helping charitable youth organizations.

As the world-wide popularity of American football and basketball has exploded in recent years, bowl games in foreign countries now generate the same enthusiastic crowds as in the U.S. For many of these events, the only ingredient missing to complete this “American football experience” has been American bands. Organizers of the Vienna Charity Bowl have partnered exclusively with Gateway Music Festivals & Tours to specially invite marching and show bands for pre-game and half-time shows, as well as pep bands for music throughout the game.

A band's visit to Austria for the Vienna Charity Bowl provides additional opportunities for performances and educational tours. Suggested tour extensions of the itinerary could include:

• The Austrian Alps
• Budapest, Hungary
• Prague, Czech Republic
