Each year since 1987, just prior to New Year's, the crème de la crème of the French National Basketball League are selected to compete in a one-off All-Star game in Paris. The game, played at the ultra-modern Bercy Palais Omnisport (or Bercy Sports Arena), pitches the French All-Star team against the best players in Europe brought together to form the All-Star Foreign team. Sponsored by Nike, the event historically draws crowds of up to 15,000 and is frequently televised throughout France.

Previous performers at the Paris All-Star Game include the New York City Knicks Dancers and the Miami Heat Street Band. Photos and video are available at the event's French-language website (www.allstargame.fr).

Event organizers are eager to welcome American marching, show and pep bands this December. Over the holidays Paris is magical, an unforgettable backdrop for New Year's celebrations.
