As the world-wide popularity of American football and basketball has exploded in recent years, bowl games in foreign countries now generate the same enthusiastic crowds we are accustomed to here. For many of these events, the only ingredient missing to complete this "American football experience" has been American bands.

Organizers of the Global Challenge Bowl in Kawasaki, Japan have partnered exclusively with Gateway Music Festival & Tours to provide marching and show bands for pre-game and halftime shows, as well as pep bands for music throughout the game.

The Kawasaki Stadium welcomes an anticipated crowd of 15,000 passionate Japanese football fans to watch top high school football players take on the National Japanese Junior All-Star team. Entertainment by American marching bands will be a major highlight for band-loving Japanese fans. Kawasaki, located in the greater Tokyo area, is "the City of Sports and Music."

Highlights of a week-long tour of Japan for the Global Challenge Bowl include:
• An exchange with a Japanese student band
• Tokyo sightseeing
• Excursions to the countryside
• A traditional tea ceremony
